Cannabis regulators in California have revoked the license of the brand of vaporizer Kushy Punch post the company had been raided in the previous month and found them to be operating from a facility that is unlicensed. This incident took place post the receipt of a complaint for a cannabis activity being illegal at their location in Canoga Park. The regulators of California had searched the facility and found it to be unlicensed which made them seize about $21 million cannabis products which had been held by Vertical Bliss that is engaged in doing business with Kushy Punch as well as distributes and manufactures the products of the brand.
They had seized the merchandize which included as many as 7,200 illicit cartridges of vapes as per the Bureau of Cannabis Controls. Kushy Punch’s attorney has lamented the decision of the state and had blamed the rollout of cannabis market being slow in California. They have witnessed what is being termed as an event of cannabis extinction with a lot of operators being unable to withstand the delays in licensing the delays onerous, costs and taxes which continue to be a historical brands barrier which they need to pass for survival.
As per the spokesperson of BCC Alex Traverso, Kushy Punch had not sold vapes from the facility but the manufacturing and storing had been going on there. The regulators of California had said in a statement that the commercial activity must be taking place on a premise which has a valid license that had been issued by the licensing authority of the state. The revocation of the license has come as the industry of marijuana and continued for reacting to a crisis of health in which many died and over thousand have become sick by the products of vaping.
